Reptiles >> Fact-File They have scales and eyelids that move. Lizards are reptiles with scales and eyelids that move. Snakes do not have eyelids. Kangaroo Island has five native groups of lizards: Goannas (Varanidae), Dragon Lizards (Agamidae), Skinks (Scincidae), Geckos (Gekkonidaae) and Flap-footed Lizards (Pygopodidae). At various times other mainland lizards have been introduced by people. Few of these introduced lizards have survived in the wild.
